My desired car.....

Before i proceed what is my desired car...

What is the different between "Desired" and "Dream"?

Desired - More realistic as you will try you best to realise it.

Dream - It just a dream and changeable. Today's dream.... Bentley Sport. Tomorrow's dream....New Perdana (Patriotism.... ) and day after tomorrow.... Cooper S (Easy to park and slit during traffic congestion)

My desired car is Audi Q7......

Why Audi Q7??? (I could be fainted looking at the monthly commitment...)

Anyway....., the underlying reasons:

1. Audi is the best car manufacturer....
2. Luxurious... even though a family car....
3. Too many technology.... (i like this !!!)
4. Buckets of space (This is so good if your wife is so particular on available space.... short vacation equivalent to a year vacation. Your car boot shall be able to accommodate 600 liters fridge. Hahaha. Just kidding.....)
5. Super fuel efficient
6. Comfort... just like one of my favorite prof Vellfire... so comfort until he become the driver all the way, i.e. other family members zzzzz

Lets talk about technology. This is more interesting. We already knew that Audi Q7 got plenty of power.

Audi Q7 is equipped with:

1. Traffic jam assist - It means the Q7 brain will accurate compute the gap between the vehicle in front of you and ensure the vehicle is in the square line. This is super good. It means you can sleep if you stuck in the traffic.

2. Virtual cockpit. The google map is appear behind the steering wheel. You don't have to look at different direction where the navigator being placed.

3. Hotspot. The vehicle itself become the hotspot.

4. Parking assist - You don't have too worry if you are not expert doing parking

5. Traffic sign recognition - The vehicle will immediately slowdown when the traffic sign state 60km/h

6. Night vision assistant - This is very good when you are driving place with less light

7. Vehicle exit assist - The vehicles will notify if there are vehicle come from the back and will ensure driver and passenger is safe when get out from the vehicle.

8. Active lane assist - This technology will significantly assist users that having micro sleep problem as the vehicle will be on track and not drifted from the lane.

9. Rear cross traffic alert  - The vehicle will stop shall be there any unaware incoming vehicle

Do you think worth it to buy this car?

Stolen Vehicle Recovery System (SVR) by Connex

In Malaysia, statistically car theft happened every 45 minutes. Losing your car is more than an inconvenience.

What is Connex?

Connex is SVR system with telematics security features and recovery services if your car has been stolen. Connex allows car owners to stay in touch with their vehicle and at the same time, help reduce the costs and heartache which result from theft, break-ins, car-jacking and abduction. Overall, Connex provides total peace of mind for car owners.

How does the vehicle tracking & recovery work?

In the event of a theft, this system will be able to trace your vehicle's exact location. All you have to do is to inform Secure Operating Centre (SOC) or confirm the theft of your vehicle when SOC calls you for theft verification.

Connex is total solutions product as it has the following:

(a) Alarm alert - If the alarm has been triggered, you will immediately receive an alert.

(b) Battery alert - If your battery has been removed or the power for the SVR system has been tempered with, you will immediately received an alert. In addition, if your battery is low on  power, an alert will be sent to you.

(c) Movement sensor - If you car is moved while the ignition is still off, an alert will be sent to you.

(d) SVR system device alert - If the GPS antena of the SVR system devise is tampered with, alert notification will be sent.

(e) Engine immobilization - Should your car is stolen, this features will immobilize your engine

(f) System health check - Regular system health check is performed between the Connex Telematics server and the SVR system device.

(g) Enhanced safety: Automatic drive recognition - A card pocket-sized

Impressive right?

What is Predictive Emission Monitoring System (PEMS) ?

PEMS?

Predictive Emissions Monitoring Systems (“PEMS”) are

(a) Software-based data acquisition systems for continuously monitoring emissions by means of plant process data.

(b) Interfaced with the plant process control system.

(c) Utilizes inputs from the combustion or pollution control process to determine the emission rates of various pollutants that are regulated.

(d) The PEMS does not need any gas analyzers.

(e) PEMS is an alternative to Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (“CEMS”).

How PEMS differ from CEMS?

The standard CEMS consists of a sample probe, filter, sample line (umbilical), gas conditioning system, calibration gas system, and a series of gas analyzers as compared to PEMS that consist of only a computer server and audits for portable analyzer

What is Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)?

CEMS....

A continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) is the total equipment necessary for the determination of a gas or particulate matter concentration or emission rate using pollutant analyzer measurements and a conversion equation, graph, or computer program to produce results in units of the applicable emission limitation or standard.

CEMS are required under some of the Clean Air Regulations 1974 (revised 2014) issued by Department of Environment (DOE) regulations for either continual compliance determinations or determination of exceedances of the standards. The individual subparts of the DOE rules specify the reference methods that are used to substantiate the accuracy and precision of the CEMS. Performance Specifications are used for evaluating the acceptability of the CEMS at the time of or soon after installation and whenever specified in the regulations.

Quality assurance procedures are used to evaluate the effectiveness of quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures and the quality of data produced by any CEMS that is used for determining compliance with the emission standards on a continuous basis as specified in the applicable regulation

Wave glider....

What is Wave Glider?

Wave glider is developed by Liquid Robotics, a United States of America company.

Wave glider....

(a) is a self-propelled robot design for long-term deployment to collect oceanographic and other environmental related data

(b) Consists of a surface float tethered with a cable to a submersible glider.

(c) Surface float houses the brains for the robot’s communications, navigation and power systems, while a modular payload hold houses the environmental –sensing instrumentation.

(d) Submersible glider has a series of paired wings that generate propulsive forces and a rudder to provide steering.

(e) The key innovation of the wave glider is its ability to harness wave energy for propulsion and solar energy to power its environmental-sensing systems.

(f) Wave glider generates propulsion with each passing wave by taking advantage of the differential motion between the surface float and submersible glider.

(g) Generates electrical power from solar panels on the deck of the surface float, which recharge a battery pack inside the wave glider’s hold. Two-way communication between the wave glider and shore is carried out by cell phone or iridium satellite depending on distance from the coast.

How wave glider performed?

Wave glider’s performance and versatility at ocean make it a reliable robot for collecting ocean environmental data. Its speed through water is proportional to ocean state, with higher waves increasing the differential motion between the surface float and submersible glide guts up to 80 knots, and wave heights exceeding 25 feet. In terms of endurance, the wave glider’s unique use of wave and solar energy for propulsion and electrical power enables it to collect data for extended periods of time.

The reasons i blog?

Somethings went when Shahrul Ekram is blogging....

Why suddenly i blog?

Why am i doing this?

Has existing work insufficient until i have to create "work"?

The Reasons i blog...

1. It is mandatory requirement for me to "PASS" MIS 750... (Prof.... please be mercy on me.....)... ultimately my MBA.

I'm not a perfect person
There's many thing i wish i didn't do
But i continue learning.... to be a better man....

2. To proof that i'm not baby boomers.... of course i'm not baby boomers

3. Am i creative?

4. Is my Queen English getting better or down to the drain?

5. Share my experience.... find new friends....

My teacher has told me one quote that i used in my life

"If there are 10 successful people... I'm one of them...."
"If there are 5 excellent people.... I'm one of them....."
"If the is 1 superb people.... that person is me"

This quote motivates me continuously become a better person...

With all the efforts, support from friends, guidance from teachers and lecturers and ultimately with His permission...  we will become a superb khalifah.... amin....

That's all.
